Assemble is a nonprofit dedicated to fostering learning and creativity, is searching for committed and enthusiastic individuals to join their board of Directors.

Directors provide leadership in the oversight and execution of Assemble’s Strategic Plan in a volunteer yet purposeful capacity.

Board Members are the decision-makers and ambassadors of the organization. It is important that they share Assemble’s vision for arts, STEAM education, the Maker movement, and community outreach. Board candidates should be ready to help the organization grow as part of a working Board.

Positions

Ramp Up Fellowship

The Pilot Ramp Up Fellowship is an 8 month-long program for 18-24-year-olds running from January 3, 2022, to August 31, 2022. The Ramp Up Fellowship is for those who are looking to become teaching artists in a supportive learning environment. This is a full-time salaried engagement with a commitment of up to 40 hours a week.  A partnership between Assemble and Legacy Arts Project, the Ramp Up Fellowship supports up-and-coming teaching artists while they learn and work alongside our program staff. This fellowship prioritizes young adults who identify as BIPOC or LGBTQIA creatives who reside in or grew up in Homewood and Garfield.

Film Production Internship

Assemble is looking for a Video Production Intern to assist with in-person camps by capturing video footage and work in the creation of new and current video segments for current and past projects. The Video Production Internship is a perfect fit for those looking to work in a non-profit organization, STEAM education/Makerspace environment and provides students with valuable hands-on, behind-the-scenes experience.

2021 Full-Time Studio Coordinator and Teacher

The Studio Coordinator is responsible for planning and teaching Assemble virtual and in-person in-house afterschool program and summer camps, virtual and in-person birthday parties, space rentals, and Make-N-Take events. This role works collaboratively with other program coordinators and the off-site programs team.

2021 Part-Time Teacher

Assemble Teachers are responsible for planning and delivering engaging, STEAM-based programs in-person as well as virtually. They actively engage to build a culture of making and inquiry. They work with and report back to the Program Managers on Assemble’s current program offerings, to explore new program opportunities, and to help expand the organization’s capacity to fulfill its mission and vision.
