Assemble Summer Camps are open to kids and tweens, ages 6-14. From beginners to burgeoning hackers, all skill levels are accepted and welcome. We simply ask that your kiddo comes ready to learn and have fun! Summer camps run from 9am-4pm, Monday – Friday and meet at our Garfield studio. Students should pack a lunch if possible. If this is not possible, please select the Free Lunch addition to you registration.

CANCELLATION POLICY

A full refund will be given to cancellations made prior to June 1, 2020. No refunds will be given after June 1,2020 as program materials will have already been purchased. Thank you for understanding.

Garfield residents can attend Assemble Day Camps for FREE by selecting Garfield Resident in the registration form.

YOU-topia: Futurevision (Ages 10-14)

June 15 – 19, 9am-4pm

The year is 2050, what does the Earth look like? How do you grow food in an ever-changing urban environment? Futurevision camp explores the future of city planning and community agriculture through virtual reality (VR). We will learn about imaginative storytellers, dreamers, and makers who are already designing for the possibility of other worlds.

Mysteries of the Universe (Ages 8-10)

July 6-10, 9AM-4PM

Put on your detective’s cap as we investigate and explore the mysteries of our strange universe. We will make costumes, design cryptic habitats, and imagine other worlds at this camp.

StoryLab: Creative Creatures (Ages 6-7)

Do you have a story to share? We’re learning about local media makers as we reinvent the future of storytelling through digital comics, meme-making, puppetry, and more!

Top Secret! Maker Mission (Ages 8-10)

July 20-24, 9AM-4PM

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to engineer your way through a series of projects and problems to fulfill your top secret mission! You will engage in hands-on challenges taking apart electronics, making circuits and robots, computer coding, and decoding secret messages, as well as using genetics and biology to solve problems! Learn some spy survival skills as you make your way through your Maker Mission!

Survival of the Futurist (Ages 6-7)

July 27-31, 9AM-4PM

The future needs you! Use science and engineering to create your vision for the future while learning about sustainability and the environment. Get your computer coding, virtual reality, and circuitry skills to invent new games! Meet scientists, designers, technologists and engineers, and collaborate with your peers to discover how you can survive the future!

Tech Styles + Textiles (Ages 8-12)

August 3-7, 9AM-4PM

This one if for all the middle school fashionistas! From fashion design to sewable circuits, we’re tackling everything you need to be confident, kind and cyber smart.
