Assemble’s 6×6 show is back!
The 4th Annual 6×6 Art Show will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026.
6×6 is open to all artists of all ages and skill levels. Assemble will provide canvases, or you can make your own. This year, there is a challenge to remix a 6×6 from past years!
6×6 Prompt & Requirements:
Theme: Alchemy. How do you practice change every day? How do you transform the world around you?
This year, we’re challenging artists to transform a 6×6 from past years. Make something new out of what you’ve been given. What can you create that better serves you, your community, and the world?
- Artwork must be 6 inches wide by 6 inches long. It may have an extended height of up to 12 inches.
- All pieces must be ready to hang on a wall.
- All artwork must be dry at drop off. No wet oil paints, please.
- Please complete the “Drop Off Artwork” section of the application form when you return your canvas.
Important Dates:
- Friday, Dec 5, 2025 – Applications open, canvases are available for pick up at Assemble.
- Friday, Jan 23, 2026 – Drop off deadline.
- Thursday, Jan 15, 2026 – 6×6 Queer Craft Night Making Workshop: 18+ Night! Sign up here.
- Friday, Jan 23, 2026 – 6×6 Making Workshop: All Ages Family Night! Sign up Here.
- Thursday, Feb 5, 2026 – VIP Opening Reception, 7-9 pm at Assemble (participating artists are invited!)
- Friday, Feb 6, 2026 – Unblurred/Public Opening, 6-10 pm at Assemble
About 6×6 Sales:
- All artwork will be sold for $30 each, with proceeds support Assemble’s STEAM education programming.
- All sales will be in-person at Assemble. Artwork will be taken off the gallery wall once sold.
- Sales begin on Thursday, Feb 5, at the VIP Opening Reception. All participating artists are invited to attend the VIP event.
