It’s hard to believe it’s been a month. A month of staying at home and month away from all of you. Last month, we asked you what you needed most from Assemble during these times. Many of you responded saying your kiddos were lonely and missed seeing their peers, friends, teachers. We miss you too!
To which we responded with Virtual Assemble, a digital meet up for our afterschool groups to keep in touch and to continue making together even though we can’t be together physically. A space where students and families can log in and DIY-together.
We’re very thankful to be able to pivot our regularly scheduled in-person events into the digital world as much as possible. While we hustle to make this transition happen as quickly as possible we need your support. For those of you who are not in a position of need yourselves, we are asking for your help. Please consider making a donation to Assemble or signing up for a recurring donation as a sustaining donor to help us remain afloat during this time of extreme uncertainty.
Your donation will help fund the creation of online classes just like Virtual Assemble, Instagram Live artist sessions and material kits. If you’ve already become a member or contributed financially, we can’t thank you enough. If you’ve been waiting for the right time and can afford to give, now is the time.

In an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19, all Assemble in-person events are canceled until further notice. We’re imagining new ways for us to continue our scheduled programming with all of our Assemble friends and families. Please follow our social media accounts for future updates.

Dear Friends and families of Assemble,
As you might know, we have cancelled all classes, workshops, and public events through March 31; we are now extending those cancellations through April 30. We know that many of you may be facing similar financial situations in your own lives. We feel your pain and we hope you are aware of these lists of resources compiled by the Allegheny County Health Department and the Bloomfield Garfield Corporation that are available to help ease the burden at this time.
For those of you who are not in a position of need yourselves, we are asking for your help. Please consider making a donation to Assemble or signing up for a recurring donation as a sustaining donor to help us remain afloat during this time of extreme uncertainty.
In the meantime we will be launching Virtual Assemble as a digital meet up for our afterschool groups to keep in touch and continue making together. More details on Virtual Assemble meet ups to come next week.
Thank you for being a part of our Assemble and we hope to see you soon.

Hi Assemble friends and families,
While our in person events are canceled due to the COVID-19 epidemic we’re looking to check in with you to see how we might be able to support you during this time where we can’t physically be together.
Many online resources have been circulating social media and our inboxes over the past few weeks as social distancing has become highly encouraged and enforced. Rather than adding to the digital noise, we want to know what do you need/want support with while your kiddos are at home? Is it daily lessons or activities? Let us know by taking our survey today.
Thank you and hope to see you all soon.
