YOUTH MAKER NIGHT

2nd Fridays (Grades 6-8), 5-7 pm

Youth Maker Night is a free, interactive monthly workshop for students in grades 6-8! Make new friends in a community setting while participating in hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) projects led by Guest Experts. No experience necessary; just bring yourself and an excitement for learning!

Pizza and snacks provided. Please email Hannah at hannah@assemblepgh.org if your student has any dietary restrictions.

Past Youth Maker Night workshops have involved screen printing, zombie makeup tutorials, beatmaking, and more!

Youth Maker Night: Comics + Characters

Friday, May 11th from 5-7pm // RSVP here!

Design your own characters and comics with guest expert Juan Fernandez. 

Students will practice drawing exercises and create characters as a group. Juan Fernandez will show the class that comics can be ANYTHING! College, photos or symbols, by learning how to let go of perfectionism students will gain confidence by making mistakes!

 

No experience necessary; just bring yourself and an excitement for learning!
