Register for Assemble Summer Camps 2023!

Assemble Summer Camp is a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) camp for youth entering grades 1-9 who are ages 6-14. Camp is FREE for Garfield Residents!

Each day, camp runs from 9am-4pm, with pre and post care available from 8am-5pm.

Campers will have the opportunity to learn with special guest experts each week as well as our own amazing Assemble Summer Camp staff!

Summer Camp Themes

June 20-23: StoryLab

Grades 5-9. Got a story you want to share? Design your own digital and print media. Connect coding concepts to choose-your-own-adventure stories. Learn about local media makers as you reinvent the future of storytelling! Projects will include stop motion, meme-making, puppetry, and more.

June 26-30: ART-itechture

Grades 3-5. Combine your love of art and building skills to create a YOU-topia for our future. Learn about local architecture from guest experts at CMU’s School of Architecture. Explore projects like blueprint paintings, cardboard connecting and learn to talk like an architect with vocabulary like plan, section and elevation.

July 3-7: ART-itechture

July 10-14: Mythical Creatures & Monsters

Grades 3-5. Are you fascinated by mythical creatures? Do you want to learn more about cryptozoology? Join us for a magical week of mystery! In this camp we will explore science spell experiments, creating new stuffed animal creatures and make a wizard’s wand.

Grades 3-5. Calling all scientists, engineers and artists! Explore each letter of STEAM throughout the week. Each day we will focus on a new letter- Monday is science, Tuesday is technology, Wednesday is engineering, Thursday is art and Friday is math. Projects will include science experiments, building challenges and mixed media artwork.

July 31-August 4: STEAM Camp

Grades 1-2. Calling all scientists, engineers and artists! Explore each letter of STEAM throughout the week. Each day we will focus on a new letter- Monday is science, Tuesday is technology, Wednesday is engineering, Thursday is art and Friday is math. Projects will include science experiments, building challenges and mixed media artwork.

August 7-11: Gemstones & Geology

Grades 4-9. This camp will explore the science behind the sparkle in the stones we find around us. Take a dive into the world of geology in this camp dedicated to self-identifying girls, trans, and non-binary people in 4th-8th grade. Learn about gemstones from around the world and the symbolism that they hold. Projects will include growing crystals, making a geode with an egg and dig for your own gemstones!
