Maker Faire Pittsburgh


Artists and craft persons are invited to join The Market @ The Faire. This is the area within Maker Faire Pittsburgh dedicated to indie crafters and maker vendors. This is your chance to sell your wares to potentially 5,000-10,000 people. There is a limited amount of space for this section. For other ways to participate in Maker Faire Pittsburgh, see

Maker Faire Pittsburgh is the region’s largest showcase of making, building, and creating, coming to Pittsburgh’s Northside on October 10th and 11th. Part science faire, part show and tell, and part carnival, the two-day Faire features all kinds of makers, with projects, presentations, workshops and performances ranging from high-tech to low, amateur to professional, and practical to ridiculous.

One of hundreds of Maker Faires held throughout the world, Maker Faire Pittsburgh is a celebration of the do-it-yourselfiness, creativity and ingenuity of makers young and old, with an expected attendance of 5,000-10,000 people from all over the region. Indie Crafters and Artists who are interested in demonstrating their creative process along side selling, you are eligible to apply as a Commercial Makers.

Vendor Fee: $150 for two days! 14 hours of vending total! (Includes 1 table and 2 chairs.)
There is a limited amount of applications will be accepted following a review process. Preference will be given to unique, local makers.

Application Deadline: EXTENDED DEADLINE Monday, September 28 2015. Vendors will be notified by October 2. Payment can me made after acceptance.

Sales: There is no guarantee that participating artists will have sales the day of the market. There will be an email of tips and best practices for preparing your space, arranging your goods, and building relationships leading up to the event. Sales the day of the event is each vendor’s responsibility.

Taxes: Each vendor is responsible for reporting and paying sales tax. For Pittsburgh taxes see here PA Taxes are found at you will enter your social security number or EIN (apply at IRS.GOV) and choose Sales Tax in section 3 (sales use hotel occupancy tax license)

Insurance: is the responsibility of the vendor. All vendors should have business liability insurance.
