Rachel Saul and Yu-San Cheng believe in the heart of a community, its people. Recently, Pittsburgh and it’s neighborhoods have been experiencing drastic changes, almost daily. With their project, Garfield Alive, they hope engage residents in a continued conversation about their own imaginations for their neighborhood; partnering with community members to stay invested in and advocate for community centric redevelopment. The Hyper Local exhibit will accept art from makers in Bloomfield, Garfield, Friendship, and East Liberty (if you work in one of those neighborhoods, you are invited to submit).

Assemble's December - January Hyper Local Exhibit features artists and makers in the neighborhoods of Garfield, Bloomfield, Friendship, and East Liberty. Each artist contributed one piece of art (2-D, 3-D, digital, audio, etc.). Come to Assemble to see the local creative energy. All pieces will be FOR SALE unless stated otherwise.
