Youth Maker Night: Zine is Believing

Do you want to learn some simple tricks and tips to develop your hand drawn characters, so you can grow as an illustrator? Local zine/comic illustrator, Jayla Patton will take youth through the steps of drawing a character together, from building basic shapes into a fleshed out character that you can use in your own stories! We'll start by creating characters or just drawing original ones we've already created, and we will provide tips and tricks on how to draw the entire figure as well as make a mini one page zine! With these simple tricks you'll be growing as an artist in no time! No experience necessary; for youth ages 10+ Event is FREE. No registration required but it is encouraged. Youth Maker Nights is a monthly event that happens every 2nd Friday of the month from 5-7pm at Assemble, giving youth and tweens Ages 10+  a place to be themselves and create in a community setting alongside guest local artists.
