No Fly Zone by D.S. Kinsel // “you better not fly those airplanes!”
Come and break all of the rules! D.S. Kinsel has created a “No Fly Zone” within the confines of the gallery. The wall has been covered with signage requesting a cease and desist on all flight within the gallery. 1500 paper airplanes created by Kinsel and various community members have been left grounded It is your responsibility to break Kinsel’s demand for a ban on flight and launch as many airplanes as possible during the August Unblurred.
No Fly Zone is an interactive installation by D.S. Kinsel. This exhibition will provide the audience with an opportunity control the activation of the exhibit. The exhibition is an experiment in crowd sourcing material content in an effort to connect multiple people through one simple act. Creating and flying paper airplanes is an activity shared across culture, class, race, gender and nationality. This exhibit also relies on the community for it’s creation and successful presentation.
No Fly Zone does not exist or operate without YOUR active participation.
