Saturday Crafternoons: Garden Mosaics with Minette Vaccariello

June 1, 2013 @ 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM

Free

Help us decorate the Nelson Mandela Peace Park in Garfield! We will be making mosaic pavers for the new garden. Pavers will be used at the park as plant markers and feature important dates in Nelson Mandela’s life. Learn a little history and make some art! All materials provided.

This will be the last Crafternoon until the beginning of September, so be sure to stop by! For more kid-focused crafting over the summer, check out Assemble’s M3 (Media, Materials, and Me) program, which will take place on Saturdays in June, July, and August.

About Saturday Crafternoons:

Wanna get your craft on? Join Assemble on the weekends for Saturday Crafternoons! On Saturday Crafternoons, local artists and crafters facilitate kid-focused craft workshops and other creative activities with educational components. Crafternoons are always drop-in events, meaning that kids (and grown-ups too!) can stop by at any time between 1 and 4 pm to complete a project or participate in a fun activity and leave whenever they need to. Always fun, always free!
