Saturday Crafternoons: Metal Smithing (Lights on Afterschool event)

October 28, 2017 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us for a special Crafternoon to celebrate with Lights On Afterschoola nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families and communities.

Children in grades K-5th and their families are invited to participate in this interactive event for the community to learn new science, technology, engineering, art and math skills and experiment with metal-smithing materials. At the event, Guest Expert, Linda McNair will teach visitors all about metal smithing and will help them design rings, bracelets, or key chains. Pizza and snacks will be provided.

During this celebratory workshop, students and their families will also have the opportunity to sign up for Assemble’s afterschool programs, camps, and workshops.
